What will the laptop be used for? Will it be used for video editing, playing games or mainly just for internet use.
What is your budget? Are you looking for a low cost laptop, a very high performance laptop or something in between.
What size screen? Most laptops come with a 15.4inch widescreen but you can get 14inch and 17inch versions but your choice may be limited.
How much storage do you need? Do you have a lot of photos, videos or music? Would having an external backup drive be better then a large internal one?
Will you be using email or the internet? If you are using the internet how will you be connecting? Most laptops today have wireless, wired network connections and dial-up modems built-in so however you connect to the internet you should be covered. Just remember if you are using the internet to have an upto date anti-virus and firewall program preferably with anti-spyware and anti-spam included.
These are just some of the questions you should ask yourself before buying a laptop.

ASUS products' top quality stems from product development. It's like learning Chinese Kung-Fu; one must begin with cultivating the "Chi" and inner strength.
